October 5^th, 2006. Buenos Aires, Argentina. - Yesterday, with an audience beating all expectations, at the impressive Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, the first SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) SUMMIT of Argentina took place.

 At this event, PECTRA Technology, Inc. presented How a SOA structure based on a process strategy help IT to easily align with the business.

 Mr. Gonzalo Rueda y Mr. Sergio Mabres, Development and I+D Managers, respectively, from Grupo Prominente -distributor of PECTRA BPM Suite in Argentina- were in charge of the presentation.  In 45 minutes they showed to more than 120 attendants the benefits and features to consider when orienting a service structure.

 "SOA is so flexible that one can add participants, increasing value and reducing costs and time," Gonzalo Rueda says. "When we talk about flexibility, we mean the ability of the organizations that undergo different changes or transformations. External changes, such as laws, that modify the way in which their business processes are performed; changes in the setting, adapting to the market conditions that force to replace partners, suppliers, etc.; and internal changes, related to strategic changes," Rueda adds. "SOA helps IT easily align with the business in the light of the different changes an organization faces," he concludes.

 Sergio Mabres goes deeper into this approach, "orchestration is one of the most important parts of SOA. Its value is undeniable when facilitating coordination, transaction and tracking of business processes. The SOA architecture does not only refer to the tools used to implement it; it is, essentially, a new way of thinking and of designing processes. This offers additional benefits derived from the module division achieved, like flexibility, implementation speed, reuse and/or availability of existing systems, which are not only beneficial in cost saving but also in the real possibility of generating income," he states.
